We are so excited to announce that the Rocky McElhaney Law Firm was selected as a 2018 Best Places to Work (BPTW) in the Nashville Business Journal’s annual employee poll honoring only the highest-scoring companies across the state of Tennessee!
This is the fourth time our firm has taken home this prestigious distinction and we couldn’t be prouder! “Clients and customers know when they enter a business that’s been honored with a Best Places to Work Award,” says the firm’s founder Rocky McElhaney. “The employees are happier, more productive, more dedicated to the mission at hand. I knew that was the case when I opened RML’s doors years ago. I’ve always tried to be not only the best lawyer I could be, but also the best boss by creating the best workplace and offering the best benefits I could to my team, year after year. I’m touched that we were nominated by public. I’m beside myself that we scored so high on the employee surveys. And, I’m grateful to hang this award on my wall another year, as a reminder of the special place we’ve created here for our employees and our clients.”
What is the Nashville Business Journal’s Best Places to Work award?
The Nashville Business Journal started celebrating the Best Places to Work 15 years ago. Any company with at least 10 employees, which has an office in operation within the 10-county Nashville area, can be nominated by the public. Then, the employees themselves have to fill out a lengthy, anonymous survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, a company which values employee engagement almost as much as we do!
Companies are measured in “6 key engagement categories, including trust in leaders, communication and resources, individual needs, personal engagement, team dynamics and manager effectiveness.” Winners are selected from the best of the best, and then we all get together to celebrate on May 1, 2018.
Growing with the community, for the community
Rocky McElhaney Law Firm did see one big change this year, in our Best Places to Work award: our category! When we first made the list, we were considered a small business. But with our recent expansion – including a 12,500 sq. foot custom, state-of-the-art facility in Hendersonville – we’ve grown in size and scope, making us a contender for the medium-sized business category.
Not only has our family of attorneys grown, but so has the reach of our company. As you all know, Rocky recently had a dream come true when he became a licensed NFL agent, and opened the Rocky McElhaney Sports Agency. We’re also developing the McElhaney Family Firm, which will specialize in domestic matters.
All of this growth is good for us, but it’s also good for the people and the community we serve. We know that finding a lawyer can be a little overwhelming, especially when you’re hurt, or you’re afraid, or you don’t know what to do. We expanded our services so that our clients know they can always rely on us to protect them, no matter what they need.
The award may say “Rocky McElhaney Law Firm” but let’s be honest: You – our clients – made it happen. You kicked things off by nominating us. We’re so very thankful that you see RML constantly striving to be a better place for you and for our employees, and that you took the time to tell Nashville Business Journal about your awesome experiences. A big congrats to Rocky and all of the firm’s gladiators in suits on their fourth BPTW win! Keep up the great work RML!
